Catalogue: Collage Off-Cuts (2015-2022) is an inventory of remains and fragments— various images that were found, gathered and cut through the years—attempting to retell the story of each hunt. This work was part of a recently concluded exhibition at Gravity Art Space titled “The eye cuts where the hand lands”, curated by Pristine de Leon.
It was tough to view the cards punched inside these drawers but I like the added intimacy it created as the viewer’s hand combed and peeked through the notes and drawings
Moving from one studio/ house to another for the past years has led me to organize or create a sort of way to categorize all the clutter~ making them compact and easier for transport. When I’m not actively producing any work, cleaning and doing fictional inventories help me get through. I imagine them as repositories for future projects and story-making
